What's in a Name?
Bola Moyo literally means "better life." Yet to people in Malawi this phrase means a great deal more: It is a bittersweet saying that folks use when they have little food on their tables, leaks in their roofs, and concerns about the future. It's a way to encourage oneself and others, saying that though today has troubles, at least there is life.

To us, Bola Moyo means supporting and mobilizing African communities in response to poverty, suffering, and inequality. It means improving people's lives, helping them achieve their potential, and ensuring their basic human rights are not ignored.
