Jubilee USA is a network of individuals and organizations that advocate for 100%, unconditional cancellation of the debts owed by the world’s poorest nations.

Bola Moyo’s staff regularly volunteers with Jubilee as we have witnessed the crushing burden debt has on Malawi’s citizens.
Due to successful campaigning by Jubilee and others, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) declared (summer ‘05) that it would cancel the debts of 18 countries. But only a few weeks ago, the IMF considered breaking its promise to 6 of these countries, 5 of which were in Africa. Some of you (from our e-mail list) sent letters to the IMF, and we are pleased to announce that they were successful! THANK YOU! You may like to know that Malawi is a candidate for debt cancellation in 2006–so let’s keep the pressure on the IMF & World Bank.
