| Why
Buy a Design Concepts Boat?
| 1.
Fish Magnetism - Rumor
has it that our engineering department has finally
perfected a special blend of good looks and durability
that actually attracts fish of all species to our
boats. When calling our customer service department
to complain of fish harassment, many bedazzled new
owners liken the phenomenon to catnip. This is an
exclusive feature available only at
Design Concepts. Maybe this is why so many professional
fishing guides choose to operate from our boats. |
| 2.

Father knows best
- Gerald R. Neff
built the first Design Concepts Boat by hand 24
years ago. Demand for such a versatile boat grew
so rapidly that what began as a hobby turned into
a career- Family Owned and California Made
The members of the Neff family, with their expertise
in boat engineering, have literally created an entire
industry. Needless to say, we have been building
these "bullet proof water rockets" ever
since. In the spring of 1986, we moved Design Concepts
(now California's largest welded boat manufacturer)
to its current 57,200 square foot location in Chico,
California. Since then, private owners, professional
guides, and numerous government agencies have called
upon us to make the boat that will take them anywhere.
Though the factory is quite large - a member of
the Neff family still personally inspects every
Design Concepts Boat before it rolls out the door
for a prosperous life on the water. |

Is what you see really what you get?
Design Concepts is proud to exceed the quality standards
of the National Marine Manufacturers Association,
the American Boating and Yachting Council
and the United States Coast Guard. When selecting
steering cables to bilge pumps, wiring systems to
safety rails, we use only the highest quality
premium components available on the market.
Purchase a Design Concepts boat with confidence
knowing that the components you can't see
are of the same premium quality as the ones you
can see. |
| 5.
Bad Boys - Bad Boys - Police, Sheriff
& Fire Departments all across America protect
our waterways and National Parks aboard the very
same Design Concepts boats that you can purchase
from our showroom. Quality is the foundation
for safety and when it comes to law enforcement,
safety is the only thing that matters.

If Lexus made boats
They still
wouldn't ride as smoothly as a Design Concepts.
Each Design Concepts boat is crafted with a revolutionary
hull configuration called Drop-Keel.
The Keel is the center line on the bottom side
of your boat. Instead of being flat on the bottom
like other boats, Design Concepts boats are engineered
to drop just below the water line before turning
upward at the bow. This feature keeps the cutting
edge of your boat in the water at all times -
instead of bouncing over the top of it.

"Auto Pilot" on the water?
Imagine cruising upstream at 40 mph with no one
behind the wheel - sound crazy? Design Concepts
boats are built upon solid steel jig platforms
that are formed to the precise shape of your boat.
From bottom bracing to windshields, every boat is
created with continuous welds that will hold
strong for life. This commitment to quality and
detail ensures you that the centerline of every
Design Concepts is crafted with such precision that
the boat cuts a straight line through the water
- practically by itself. |

What is Torsional Rigidity? -
There
is a good reason why a high performance sports
car is able to handle a hairpin turn with more
speed and stability than a minivan. This is a
simple example of torsional rigidity, and the
same rules of physics apply to aluminum boats.
When shopping for a boat that should last the
rest of your life, structure and beam
width are of the utmost importance. Using
the flex elimination methods, Box Girder Construction
and Grid Bracing, Design Concepts boats are
crafted with such outstanding torsional rigidity
that they are virtually indestructible. We are
often accused of "over" engineering
our boats, but we don't mind the name-calling.

Don't hate me because I'm beautiful
The
highest quality aluminum boats in the world deserve
to look as great as they perform. Every Design
Concepts boat endures an intensive five-step
premium paint and finish process. For the
interior this includes cleaning, preparation,
2 coats of primer, slip-resistant Zolatone®
and a lustrous clear coat finish. The exteriors
are adorned with the same high-density, impact-resistant
Dupont® paints used on Jeff Gordon's NASCAR
vehicle. Select your favorite from an array of
color options.
